Pepperl+Fuchs is offering a novel ultrasonic double sheet detector in an M18 housing.

Pepperl+Fuchs is offering a novel ultrasonic double sheet detector in an M18 housing.

With four user-selectable settings to optimise the sensor to the application, the detector indicates no sheet, single sheet or double sheet and is capable of detecting paper from 10-2000g/m2 and even thin metals or thick cardboards.

The evaluation is carried out within the sensor housing, so only an emitter and receiver are required and an additional control box is not necessary.

Ultrasonic sensors use high frequency sound to detect objects and therefore, unlike photoelectric sensors are not affected by target colour or environmental conditions such as dust, smoke or steam.

Pepperl+Fuchs' ultrasonic sensors come in a variety of housing designs and output options, with a wide range of connecting cables, mounting accessories and interface units for display and control.
