The new SBL series of background suppression scanners from Pepperl+Fuchs are designed for use with accumulating roller conveyors, simplifying installation and reducing the number of required control elements.

The SBL series is available as a stand-alone sensor with PNP output, or with integrated logic and valve for connection to pneumatic systems as well as versions with double time-delay (on-delay and off-delay).

As many as 25 sensors can be cascaded, with the aid of just one power supply, for either individual control or block control applications.

The design of the new SBL series makes it possible to install the sensors between rollers in the roller backup conveyor systems, under the material that is being moved.

This allows for installation that saves space and prevents mechanical damage of the sensor caused by material being conveyed.
