A new print mark detector has joined the Pepperl+Fuchs range of contrast scanners.

A new print mark detector has joined the Pepperl+Fuchs range of contrast scanners.

Based on proven technology using three emitter colours - green, red and blue - the sensor will choose the colour that gives the best result for any given print mark/background contrast level during teach-in.

The DK12-11 device has a 1 x 3mm light spot, a sensing range of 11mm and a 50us response time.

Operating on 10-30V DC the sensor has selectable light/dark switching and two push-pull outputs.

Teach-in is either by means of a body-mounted switch or by an external input and can be carried out statically or dynamically, enabling swift production/packing line changes.

The strong housing frame, made from nickel-plated die cast zinc and glass-fibre-reinforced plastic, is IP67 rated and has a fitted M12, 5-pin metal connector, adjustable through 90 degrees.

A plastic optical face provides the finishing touch to a sensor ideal for many applications.
