Snap-in mounting in an angular support bracket allows installation, replacement and height adjustments to be carried out rapidly.

Pepperl+Fuchs has released the SLCS and SLCT series of 20 x 30mm safety light curtains.

The evaluation unit is integrated into the receiver.

To provide the necessary personal protection for machinery with hazardous movements, noncontact protection devices with safety light curtains are frequently used.

Safety light curtains provide a large number of beams with a normal beam distance of between 14 and 90mm.

The light curtains must be arranged in such a manner that is impossible to reach over, reach under or walk behind the protective area.

Detailed information on the components and measures to minimise risks can be found in the machinery directive and the current standards.

Gold or silver anodised aluminium extrusion profiles ensure that Pepperl+Fuchs' units are very lightweight.

The light curtains can be mounted from three sides.

Snap-in mounting in an angular support bracket allows installation, replacement and height adjustments to be carried out rapidly.

Extrusion profiles with deep grooves are no longer required.

The distance between the emitter and receiver may be up to 8m.

Two safety light curtains with a protection field height of up to 1200mm each can be mounted end to end, creating a continuous protective field with two independent switch-off areas.

The curtains have operating temperature range of -30 to +60C, making them suitable for use in cold storage areas.
