Pepperl and Fuchs extends capacitive sensor range

A Pepperl+Fuchs GB product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 25, 2009

Pepperl and Fuchs has introduced a range of sensors in M12 cylindrical housings with extended sensing ranges to complete its family of capacitive sensors.

Sensing distances of 8mm are now possible in the 12mm diameter housing style, for non-flush mounting.

The stainless steel cylindrical body coupled with the PEEK plastic face offers resistance to chemicals and common cleaning products making them suitable for applications such as simple level and overflow detection.

The sensitivity is adjustable to enable the switching point to be moved to suit the application and target material.

Other sensors in the portfolio include a flat-pack style measuring 5mm thick and offering a sensing distance of up to 10mm, plus numerous rectangular and cylindrical options in AC/DC and intrinsically safe versions.
