The Impact T10 is a compact, self-contained intelligent camera solution that is easy to use and program, and designed for low-cost machine vision applications.

PPT Vision has expanded the family of products for its powerful Impact machine vision microsystems with the introduction of the Impact T10, an economical, next-generation intelligent camera.

Sharing the robust Impact platform developed for advanced image processing applications, the Impact T10 is a compact, self-contained intelligent camera solution that is easy to use and program, and designed for low-cost applications.

"While (most of today's) intelligent cameras have been around since the 90s, there has never been a camera that shares the architecture of a high-performance machine vision microsystem", stated Joe Christenson, President of PPT Vision.

"The Impact T10 incorporates the speed and power of next generation image processing hardware along with a comprehensive, easy-to-use visual programming toolkit making it the first high-end intelligent camera for applications that demand an economical inspection solution".

With the introduction of Impact in September 2002, PPT Vision created a new vision industry category with the first microsystem solutions that made high performance inspection tools available at a much lower price.

Impact has been deployed worldwide in demanding vision applications as diverse as automotive, electronics, medical device and character inspection.

The Impact T10 brings together today's advanced machine vision components into a single, sealed camera package including a 1000MIPS processor, solid-state memory, optically isolated I/O, serial interface, Ethernet connectivity, and a real-time operating system.

The Impact T10 is supported by PPT Vision's Inspection Builder software suite which provides high-end image processing tools, advanced programming capabilities, a broad range of sophisticated inspection algorithms, and complete set of visual HMI tools within an easy-to-use visual programming environment.

Coinciding with the introduction of the Impact T10, PPT Vision has also extended the high-performance side of the Impact family with the Impact C20.

The C20 is the most powerful Impact microsystem hardware platform to date, incorporating additional memory and image processing performance for the most advanced and complex inspection applications.

In addition the company also released Version 5.0 of the Inspection Builder software suite, which contains a broader range of inspection tools and enhanced ease-of-use features.
