IP communication eases camera integration
PPT Vision has added the Ethernet/IP communication protocol to its Impact family of intelligent cameras.
Cameras boast improved defect detection
PPT Vision has introduced the Impact T25 and Impact T21, the newest additions to the company's T-series intelligent camera family for high-speed automated inspection.
Included in the Impact software suite, the Impact Kickstart module is a newly developed interface to PPT Vision's line of intelligent cameras.
Users can setup a custom and powerful inspection application in minutes using this preconfigured program and view results immediately on the same screen.
Impact Kickstart provides four basic inspections, including morphology, locate, absence/presence check and gauging.
The completed application can be saved as a template and reused for quick solutions in the future, or be loaded onto Impact VPM or CPM if the application requires additional inspection requirements.
With Impact VPM, users can build on existing templates with a set of 80 advanced tools including blob analysis, circular pattern find, subpixel edge extractor and various image filtering tools.
The Impact CPM interface builder comes with 50 fully configurable controls, allowing users to create custom, professional control panels with multiple image displays, data charts, real-time inspection results with password-protected panels and tabs.
Along with its powerful algorithms and drag-and-drop ease of use, the Impact A-10 offers all the functionality of a high-end vision system in a compact footprint.
Features include a high performance microprocessor and real-time operating system, plus a digital imaging sensor.
The electronic components are contained into a sealed industrial unit which can be installed directly into assembly lines and manufacturing equipment.
A broad array of discrete, serial, and Ethernet I/O make the Impact A-10 compatible with a full spectrum of industrial control equipment and instrumentation.
PPT Vision is offering a free tutorial on the use and benefits of smart cameras and machine vision software and a white paper: "Make advance vision software work for you", available from the company's website.
