Polytec has a new high-precision white-light interferometer for online part inspection and production/quality control.
Polytec, a provider of advanced, light-based measurement systems to North America, announces a new, high-precision white light interferometer for online part inspection and production/quality control.
Designed as a compact, industrial inspection system, the TMS-300/320 TopCam interferometer easily installs on a manufacturing line and rapidly verifies production part specifications for flatness and topography.
Outstanding technical performance is accomplished by combining telecentric imaging with a Michelson interferometer, a precision scanning system and a digital camera.
Working together, the integrated components produce extremely fast measurements over large fields of view (19mm diameter) with z-axis resolution of up to 10nm.
Easy to integrate, the TopCam can be mounted in any direction and can be controlled via the operator interface software using COM/ActiveX or LabViewdrivers.
Telecentric lenses allow proper imaging along high, steep edges and within deep, drilled holes.
Measurements of imaged surfaces with substantial relief are easily characterised by scanning the large z-axis dynamic range (50mm maximum).
The innovative TMS camera simultaneously acquires 325,000 point interferograms over the entire field of view.
The TMS software package includes all the necessary commands for instrument operation, data acquisition, analysis and presentation.
Outstanding 2 and 3D data representation can be enhanced with profile cuts and filter algorithms.
