ProMinent Fluid Controls has added the 'Spectra' range of progressive cavity pumps to its comprehensive range of solenoid driven and motor driven precision dosing pumps Offering a smooth metered flow, the Spectra series can be used in a host of applications

With rotors available in tool hardened steel or stainless steel, and stators available in a wide range of elastomers including EPDM and PTFE, the Spectra range is well suited to hygienic applications in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.

Spectra progressive cavity pumps can be supplied with or without motors and are suitable for direct mounting of a gear motor without the need of a base plate.

They are versatile, self priming pumps and are particularly well suited to pumping high viscosity fluids.

The pump range provides capacities up to 28 m3/hr and operates at back pressures up to 12 bar.

For heavy duty applications, however, bare shaft pumps can be supplied ready mounted on a base plate.

These versions offer a capacity of up to 250 m3/hr and back pressures of up to 24 bar.

Spectra pumps are available in horizontal and vertical mounting configurations.

There is a choice of inlet flange geometries, with the flange positioned at 90s, 180s or 270s to the standard position.

The progressive cavity principle of operation means that no inlet and outlet valves are required.

Flow is proportional to pump speed and pumping direction is reversible.

Mechanical and belt type variable speed drives are available.
