Spectra progressive cavity pumps from ProMinent Fluid Controls are ideal for accurate dosing of polymer solutions such as from the Ultromat 2- and 3-chamber polyelectrolyte batching and dosing systems

The Spectra range of progressive cavity pumps from ProMinent Fluid Controls are an ideal choice for accurate dosing of polymer solutions such as those produced by the company's Ultromat series of 2 chamber and 3-chamber polyelectrolyte batching and dosing systems For these applications, the Spectra series feature a stator made from Viton, a stainless steel rotor and a highly effective rotary mechanical seal, which keeps maintenance requirements to a minimum

Suitable even for metering flocculent solutions containing oil, the pumps provide a smooth metered flow at rates between 1.5 and 5100 l/h at back pressures of 3 bar.

They can be supplied with motors with a manual gearbox or automatic gearbox.

The automatic versions feature thermal overload protection for additional safety.

These simple pumps can be readily integrated into the control system for the Ultromat.

Flow is proportional to pump speed and in addition, the progressive cavity principle of operation means that no inlet and outlet valves are required.

Organic flocculent dosing is used to separate colloidal solids from liquids in a host of applications.

These include potable water and industrial water treatment, waste water and slurry treatment as well as ore enrichment, sand and gravel treatment, brine treatment and applications in the paper manufacturing industry.
