Sales of precision dosing pumps at Prominent Fluid Controls (UK) have passed 20,000 units since the beginning of the new millennium Particularly popular have been the Beta and gamma/L solenoid dosing pumps which offer capacities of 0.74-32 litre/h at 16-2bar back pressure

Prominent UK's Managing Director, Bob McAlster, commented: "This is a magnificent achievement for sales in the UK.

Although the Prominent Group is today as well known for its specialist chemical dosing systems as its dosing pumps, we should not forget that the company introduced the first commercial solenoid dosing pumps in 1968.

Since then the product range has developed to include motor driven pumps, hydraulic pumps, piston pumps, magnetic drive pumps, air operated diaphragm pumps and progressive cavity pumps to give us one of the widest range of dosing pumps commercially available".

MrcAlster continued: "With such a wide range of capacities, materials of manufacture and pumping methods available we are confident that we can address the vast majority of precision dosing applications that users might have.

Although we have our comprehensive product catalogue, we have just produced a new pump range leaflet which will let customers get a feel for our capabilities at a glance".

Prominent dosing pumps are used in a diverse range of industries including water and waste treatment, food, pharmaceutical, industrial processing, chemical, petrochemical, swimming pools and hazardous environments.
