Progressive cavity pumps go higher and lower

A ProMinent Fluid Controls (UK) product story

The Spectra range of progressive cavity pumps has been completely updated with both lower and higher flow rates than were previously available.

The Spectra range of progressive cavity pumps from Prominent Fluid Controls has been completely updated, and now features 10 models instead of the previous six, with both lower and higher flow rates than were previously available.

The Spectra range is particularly well suited to pumping liquid polymers and polymer solutions, and is used on the company's Ultromat flocculant preparation and dosing systems.

The pump range has a capacity of 0.6 to 12,000 litre/h with at back pressures of 3-12bar.

All models are available with three drive variants: a variable speed drive motor (manually operated gearbox), helical geared motor or a helical geared motor with thermistor sensors.

The pump can handle fluids with viscosity up to 5000mPas.

Rotors are manufactured from stainless steel (CrNiMo 17-12-2) and stators in FPM.

There are three different rotor-stator geometries.

The S geometry is used on models offering flow rates from 0.6 to 105 litre/h at 3bar, L geometry for models in the range 50-600 litre/h at 3bar and P geometry for models covering the range 300-12,000 litre/h at 3bar.
