Prominent Fluid Controls has become the major shareholder of Proshield.
Based in Motherwell, Scotland, Proshield has been a local supplier of Prominent chemical dosing and water treatment products since 1983.
The company also has a significant business as a multidisciplined manufacturing and engineering contractor and has recently been appointed as one of the Framework suppliers for chemical dosing systems to Scottish Water.
Proshield will continue to offer a local service to its customers, yet enjoy the backing of a major International Group.
Managing Director, David Kerr, and Technical Director, David Ashby, will continue with their current responsibilities, and an additional three staff have joined its engineering section.
Prominent UK Managing Director, Bob McAlster, said: "This will benefit both companies".
"We now have a direct sales and engineering outlet in Scotland, and our Ashby de la Zouch UK headquarters will be able to provide additional manufacturing capacity for Proshield if necessary".
"Proshield will also have direct access to our wealth of technical knowledge in the field of chemical fluid handling and water treatment and we will benefit from Proshield's considerable expertise in contract and installation projects".
