A new range of reverse osmosis systems to produce drinking water by desalination has been introduced by Prominent Fluid Controls.

A new range of reverse osmosis systems to produce drinking water by desalination has been introduced by Prominent Fluid Controls Available on polypropylene or stainless steel frames, the new EcoPro units are equipped with the latest generation of "ultra-low-pressure" membranes

These units achieve maximum permeate capacity at low operating pressures, which means lower capital equipment costs and lower running costs.

The polypropylene-mounted EcoPro is an entry-level range of desalination units, with permeate capacities ranging from 100 to 250 litre/h at 15C water temperature.

Operating over a pH range from 3-10, the unit can accommodate feed water with a maximum salt content of 650mg/litre.

These units feature PVC pipework and are fitted with pressure hoses to keep costs down.

The stainless steel-mounted EcoPro range also uses PVC pipework.

These systems have a permeate capacity from 600 to 2700 litre/h at 15C water temperature and can accommodate feed water with a maximum salt content of 1000mg/litre.

These plants are available with an integrated semi-automated cleaning system and a permeate and raw water flushing option.

Both EcoPro ranges offer salt rejection of 90-95%.
