UV disinfection cleans up process water

A ProMinent Fluid Controls (UK) product story

UV disinfection system is ideally suited for the disinfection of drinking and process water and the photochemical reduction of chloramines in swimming pool water.

The new Dulcodes R UV disinfection system from ProMinent Fluid Controls is ideally suited for the disinfection of drinking and process water and the photochemical reduction of chloramines in swimming pool water.

It features high performance Opti-Flux low - pressure UV lamps and a built-in mechanical wiper system, which can be used without interrupting system operation.

The Opt-Flux lamps use special amalgam technology, which gives increased UV output, more or less independent of temperature.

The 300W output means that maximum flow capacities can be achieved with the minimum number of lamps.

This, combined with the long service life of the lamps (up to 14,000 hours), means that lamp replacement is rarely necessary and therefore maintenance costs are significantly reduced.

Dulcodes R is available in four versions, containing one to four lamps, with a maximum flow rate of up to 438m3/h, depending on the transmission rate and dose.

The integral manually operated wiper system allows easy and efficient cleaning of the lamp protection tube even during operation, at pressures up to 10bar.

There is no need to remove the tube for cleaning.

Each lamp is equipped with two auto-adjusting wiper elements made from food-safe PTFE.

Dulcodes R features a new generation UV-C sensor with a large integrated graphical display for the sensor signal.

This allows lamp ageing, build-up of deposits on the lamp protection tube or change in water quality to be detected.

The unit's controller is freely programmable for different flushing, warning and shutdown procedures.
