Fieldbus-based configuration tool for flow meter

A Proces-Data (UK) product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 4, 2000

Since the PD 340 Flow Meter offers options for communicating using Fieldbus technology, Proces-Data has recently launched a configuration tool, which runs under its VIGO 4.3 Fieldbus Management System

Many thousands of PD 340 Magnetic Flow Meters are currently installed in a wide variety of process automation systems throughout the world.

The sanitary design of this range of intelligent transmitters has placed it in a position of popular choice in the dairy, brewing and soft drinks industries, in addition to market sectors where accurate flow measurement of conductive liquids is required.

Since the PD 340 Flow Meter offers options for communicating using Fieldbus technology, Proces-Data have recently launched a comprehensive configuration tool, which runs under their VIGO 4.3 Fieldbus Management System.

All live measurement data held within the transmitter can be monitored together within one window, including flow rates, volumes, temperature and output states.

Setting parameters can be changed and saved, and a selection of standard configurations are available for download to newly installed flow meters.

Full information about VIGO, the new configuration utility PD340 Config and the complete PD340 Flow Transmitter range, can be seen in the products section of the Proces-Data web site.

Both programs are available for download and immediate use on a 30 day free trial.

Thereafter, a free licence is authorised during installation of a PC/P-NET interface module.
