Proces-Data has now released Vigo 5.0, which enables standard and specific Windows applications to be linked to fieldbus variables using OLE technology.

Proces-Data has now released Vigo 5.0 - the latest version of the Fieldbus Management System for Windows 9x/NT/2000, which enables standard and specific Windows applications to be linked to fieldbus variables (process values, status of an input, etc.), using OLE technology.

A standardised application interface provides the means for different fieldbus type, e.g P-Net or Modbus, etc., to intercommunicate, including the most popular LAN type protocols supported by Windows, e.g TCP/IP and IPX, for both local and remote access, including web-access.

The new version of this superior fieldbus management software is available for download now, as a fully functional version having a 30 day free trial period, or a continuous licence if PC to P-NET interface hardware is installed.

Amongst the improvements incorporated in Vigo 5.0 is the ability for a PC to run as a slave, as well as providing a more intuitive user interface.

Furthermore, Visual Vigo, a new Windows based application for the visualisation, operator dialogue, data acquisition and display of historical data and real-time trend curves (Scada functionality), is now part of the installation package.
