Premotec has introduced a new brushless DC motor to their ever-expanding product range - the BL48, 2-wire version These motors provide brushless technology at a brushed motor price

They exhibit very low EMI and are supplied with only 2-wires for uni-directional operation.

All drive electronics is integrated within the motor and both 12 and 24-volt versions are available.

A 12-pole external rotor and 9-coil iron core stator combine in a motor of only 54 mm diameter and 30 mm length to produce up to 7 watts output power.

Smooth, constant speeds of up to 4600 rpm are ensured by the external rotor and service-free motor life in excess of 20,000 hours can be obtained due to the use of high quality ball bearings and the absence of mechanical brushes.

Further integration into customer applications can be provided through combination with a wide range of long-life spur and planetary gearboxes, custom mounting flanges, alternative shaft configurations, and the addition of customer- specified drive components.

The flexible, highly reliable but economic nature of the BL48 make this motor the ideal drive solution in a wide variety of customer applications such as laboratory stirrers, medical and industrial pumps, H.V.A.C.

valve control and industrial automation.
