The OS49 is a 49mm spur gearbox in 9 stock ratios from 4 to 1250:1, providing a dynamic torque of 700mNm in the shortest product length.

Premotec have introduced a new spur gearbox - the OS49 - with a host of design benefits A 49mm gearbox in 9 stock ratios from 4 to 1250:1, this compact but powerful unit presents a flexibility and versatility unmatched by other gearboxes

With its well established, almost industry standard, pear shape this gearbox provides a dynamic torque of 700mNm in the shortest product length.

As well as additional standard ratios, many other options are available, such as custom shafts, ball bearings on the output, friction clutch for overload protection, low backlash gearing and combination with other motor types.

To allow the capability of the OS49 to be fully utilised, full compatibility is available with three Premotec coreless DC motor types - their 22, 29 and 40mm units - as well as the 35mm permanent magnet stepper and synchronous motors.

Together these offer over 300 readily available motor/gearbox combinations.

The all-round flexibility and performance of the new OS49 along with its economic design make it extremely useful within drive systems in a wide range of applications.

Examples are CCTV pan and tilt mechanisms, medical/laboratory analysis equipment, special effects lighting, animated display models, ticket issuing machines, and various pump types.
