Catchbolt helps Audi at Le Mans

An integral safety catch keeps the ProLatch in the closed position and can be secured with wire or safety pin if required.
Another version is available to accept a padlock.
Both are available ex-stock as standard in stainless steel, or zinc plated and passivated mild steel.
They can be also supplied in a split, recessed dish for flush applications.
With a low profile of 16mm deep x 105mm long x 45mm wide, the ProLatch is sturdy, simple to fit and easy to use.
Applications include hinged doors, gates, panels, flaps, covers or guards on industrial and agricultural machines, cabinets, vehicle bonnets, boat hatches, etc.
To take just one example, the Protex ProLatch is used by Knight Farm Machinery Ltd of Oakham, Rutland, a well-known manufacturer of trailed crop spraying equipment.
There the ProLatch is used to secure the door of a fibreglass cabinet containing protective clothing (required by Health and Safety regulations).
Here the unique features of the ProLatch allow it not only to pull the cabinet door shut, but also to compress it against a thick rubber gasket, thus sealing the cabinet from spray.
The ProLatch is made in stainless steel and can accept a padlock for extra security.
The new ProLatch complements the established Protex Catchbolt(R) which, when closed, is rigid in three axes.
