PAS-230 stops potassium nitrate build-up at Ferro

A Primasonics International product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 6, 2009

Primasonics has installed its Acoustic Cleaner Model PAS-230 at Ferro's Cleveland plant to prevent humidity from causing potassium nitrate to build up on the side walls of storage silos.

After examining silo photographs and drawings, Primasonics recommended that its Acoustic Cleaner Model PAS-230 be mounted on top of the bin.

Ferro, a supplier of technology-based performance materials for manufacturers, opted for the Primasonics Rental Plan, which allowed it to rent the horn on a monthly basis so as to fully evaluate its effectiveness.

The acoustic cleaner was despatched from stock in October 08 and installed shortly afterwards.

The Primasonics Acoustic Cleaner proved to be an effective solution and so in April Ferro proceeded to purchase the PAS-230 model and will consider other suitable applications for acoustic cleaners.
