World's first, totally fluorine-compatible seals
The world's first, totally fluorine-compatible seals designed to extend production times between maintenance cycles for equipment used in semiconductor production, is now available.
Platinum-cured silicone offers high levels of purity and is commonly used for tubing and seals in processing equipment.
Until now O-rings have been formed by joining the ends of extruded silicone cord.
The PPE moulded O-ring silicone seals offer improved reliability and integrity over jointed seals, and will extend the application of platinum-cured silicone in processing industries.
Platinum-cured silicone seal geometries include O-rings and hygienic designs suitable for CIP (clean in place).
The seals are resistant to repeated sterilisation and the cleaning agents typically used in food, brewing and pharmaceutical production.
Available in Shore 65 and Shore 70 hardness, the platinum-cured, silicone seals provide excellent mechanical and physical properties, and chemical stability over the temperature range of -60 to +200C.
