New specs add safety to Profibus
Profibus International has published two new documents on Profisafe.
Profibus International has published two new documents on Profisafe, a supplementary technology for standard Profibus that reduces the failure probability of information transmission between failsafe controllers and failsafe field devices in accordance with IEC61508 Profisafe defines a complete set of rules that enable manufacturers, integrators, distributors, competence centres and consultants to maintain consistency in implementation and application of the technology
