In response to much demand, a new process module has been added to the Certified Profibus Engineer courses presented at the Profibus Competence Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University.

This intensive course that looks under the bonnet of Profibus now features an extra day focused on the special requirements of Profibus in process applications and hazardous areas.

Over four and a half days, the course concentrates on the details of network operation and the analysis of bus signals.

Written and practical testing assures the competence of successful candidates.

Over 300 have qualified since the introduction of the course.

Places are available at the next course scheduled for 21st to 25th July.

Other dates for the Certified Profibus Engineer course are: 29th September to 2nd October - without the process module; 7th November - a stand-alone process module/refresher day for past graduates of the course; and 1st to 5th December - with the process module.
