Certified Profibus Engineer and Installer Courses offered by the Profibus Competence Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University are growing in popularity at home and abroad.

Certified Profibus Engineer and Installer Courses offered by the Profibus Competence Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University are growing in popularity at home and abroad with delegates booked in from as far afield as Africa and Singapore.

The Certified Installer course is able to be delivered anywhere in the world for groups of up to 12, a fact that is keeping Senior Lecturer Andy Verwer very busy with training tours already booked for Ireland, Singapore and Southern Africa during the first half of 2004.

Verwer has already made two training tours of Southern Africa where there are now over 120 Certified Profibus Installers trained by him.

Verwer reports that Certified Installer status is now officially recognised as prerequisite by many major South African companies when placing installation contracts.

Certified Profibus Engineer courses with the new Process Industry module are planned in the UK for 2nd-6th February and 26th-30th April.

The Certified Installer course is scheduled for 10th May, and MMUs new Certified OpenPLC (IEC61131) course will be held on 12th-14th May.
