Seminar covers the use of Profibus PA in key application areas such as pulp and paper, chemical, utilities, pharmaceutical, oil and gas today.

Profibus UK has announced a new seminar for technicians and engineers involved in design, operation and maintenance of modern process plant Addressing the key practical issues arising from the use of digital fieldbus communications technologies in process and hybrid industries, it covers the use of Profibus PA in key application areas such as pulp and paper, chemical, utilities, pharmaceutical, oil and gas today

Focusing on the practical aspects of using Profibus in process industry applications from system design and hazardous area considerations through to maintenance and fault-finding, the seminar is supported by live demonstrations of actual tools used in calibration and maintenance and hence will be of great value to instrument technicians/engineers, C and I engineers and system engineers.

Kindly hosted in Bracknell, Berkshire, by Siemens Automation and Drives the seminar is ably presented by fieldbus specialists Andy Verwer of the Profibus Competence Centre at MMU, Mark Cargill of Purac, Tony Grassby of Endress + Hauser, Gareth Johnson of ABB and Anthony Mayall and Mark McCormick of Siemens Automation and Drives.

Attendance is free of charge to preregistered delegates from the user community, ie companies that own, operate, design, build or maintain process plant.

The seminar will be held on Thursday 30th November 2006, and a registration form can be downloaded from the Profibus UK website.
