The fifth annual UK Profibus and Profinet User Conference will combine the conference with practical workshops and and exhibition featuring many live demonstrations.
The fifth annual UK Profibus and Profinet User Conference will be held at Stratford on Avon on 24th and 25th June 2008.
It will include a conference covering technology updates and user application experience, workshops covering the practical aspects of using, installing and troubleshooting field installations, and an exhibition of Profibus and Profinet products, equipment and services.
At a new location for 2008, the Stratford Manor Hotel, Stratford on Avon, the exhibition will be open to any visitors interested in discussing the application of Profibus and Profinet digital communications technology to their plants.
Visitors can meet the UK and European experts from the major suppliers in this field, with examples of their products on display, to get the answers to your questions on the spot.
There is no charge for entry into the exhibition for industrial visitors; all that is needed is preregistration via Profibus UK to establish the company contact address with the organisers.
Exhibiting companies include Siemens Automation and Drives, Siemens Process Instrumentation, ABB Automation and Instrumentation, Pepperl + Fuchs, Endress + Hauser, Wago, Burkert, MTL Instruments, Beka Displays, Procentec Hi Port and Westermo Data Communications.
There will also be representation from professional bodies like the IET and InstMC, from Manchester Metropolitan University and several automation and process magazines.
Most stands will show working models of Profibus and Profinet automation and communication systems.
Endress+Hauser will demonstrate a working network of its Profibus devices linked to a Rockwell Automation Control Logix and RSView system, in order to show ease of connectivity and system integration, as well as the asset management functionality using FieldCare software.
Alan Bollard, Managing Director of Westermo Data Communications, will be on hand to provide expert industrial data communications advice to help end users get more from Profibus and Profinet networks.
Beka will show its comprehensive and unique ranges of multivariable fieldbus displays for use in Profibus PA applications.
These include panel-mounting units with integral front pushbuttons that enable full user control and navigation of the relevant sensors, alongside rugged IP66 field mounting assemblies designed specifically for onerous plant duties.
The Stratford Manor Hotel, at Stratford-on-Avon, sits in its own 21 acres of grounds just 5 minutes from junction 15 of the M40, and it is within easy reach of Birmingham International Airport.
The exhibition will run from 1000 to 1600 BST on both 24th and 25th June.
