Pressure Systems has published a datasheet detailing the new Series 770 rerangeable hydrostatic submersible level transducers with 10:1 programmable turndown capability.

The datasheet outlines the use of application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) technology in the Series 770 to fully compensate for sensor errors due to temperature, and to rerange the transducers in the field via an attached cable and adjust terminal readings (zero and span) at any turndown.

In addition to identifying specific transducer applications, such as ground and surface water monitoring, down hole and shipboard use, as well as dewatering and level control, the new datasheet outlines transducer specifications.

These include a total error band (TEB) of +/-0.25% FS at 1:1 turndown over the full operating temperature range of -20 to +60C, level ranges up to 70m, analogue outputs of 4-20mA and 0-5V DC as well as compliance with EN61000-6-4:2001 and EN 61000-6-2:2001.

The datasheet details the transducer's heavy-duty construction features such as: welded 316 SS or titanium housing for maximum resistance to hostile liquids and gases; a custom-manufactured cable with a polyurethane or Tefzel jacket and Kevlar members to prevent errors due to cable elongation; and a vent filter that prevents moisture from entering the vent tube.

Accessories, installation tips, and reranging system operation are also provided in the new datasheet.
