Handheld computer interfaces with
transducers
The dataMonitor is designed for outdoor use with waterMonitor submersible data logging level transducers to precisely monitor environmental water resources.
Pressure Systems has introduced the dataMonitor handheld computer for field interrogation and configuration of its popular waterMonitor line of KPSI transducers Weighing only 482g, the dataMonitor is a compact, robust personal digital assistant (PDA) designed for outdoor use by engineers, scientists and field service personnel using waterMonitor submersible data logging level transducers to precisely monitor environmental water resources

Pressure Systems now offers a detailed product CD for the company's line of highly accurate Quartzonix pressure standards.
Unlike standard PDAs, the dataMonitor was engineered to be rugged from the inside out, yet it is only slightly larger than standard units, including its high-strength housing with rubber-protected edges.
This design enables the dataMonitor to meet the stringent requirements of MIL-STD-810F for drops, vibration, humidity, altitude and extreme temperatures.
Waterproof and dust-resistant, it also holds an IP67 rating.
The dataMonitor is perfectly suited to configure, control and collect data from waterMonitor transducers.
With K-ware Mobile applications software pre-installed, the user can determine operational status, configure test profiles and extract logged data in the field.
When returning from the field, K-ware Desktop shares the same graphical user interface as K-ware Mobile, making it an ideal complementary package for laptops or office computers.
Both versions of K-ware are available free-of-charge on the Pressure Systems website.
Standard features of the dataMonitor include the familiar Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system, Microsoft ActiveSync 3.7, a 200MHz Intel XScale processor, 3800mAh NiMH rechargeable battery and a sunlight-readable, colour TFT touchscreen display.
The unit has both a nine-pin male D serial port and a USB port for easy connectivity.
Standard accessories included with the dataMonitor are a carrying case, AC charger, USB cable, hand strap and stylus lanyard.
