PTC has added four UK value added resellers to its European channel programme bringing the total number of European VARs under its mechanical CAD programme to 78.
PTC's newest partners include Optima Design Services, Syntech Solutions, Design Reality and Paradigm Design Services.
As a component of the company's overall strategy, PTC is continuing to invest in the development of its VAR programme.
By doing so, PTC expects that it will increase the channel's financial contribution, lower PTC's cost of sales, and increase the interaction between the company, its resellers and manufacturing customers.
Trent Brown, executive vice president of PTC International Sales, commented, "Most of our current VARs are performing well in terms of revenue growth and improved customer satisfaction ratings relative to a weak European manufacturing sector.
We will continue to invest in our own growth and the growth of our VARs in regions of opportunity across Western Europe, the Middle East, Turkey, Israel and South Africa".
Brown continued, "The actions we've taken over the past two years provide leading products, clear objectives and supporting infrastructure, including dedicated training and technical support, for our VARs.
This allows them to effectively sell within our customer base of 33,000 customers as well as support previously untapped opportunities".
The newly appointed UK resellers offer a comprehensive range of the PTC's Pro/Engineer product line and related support services to the marketplace.
According to Ian Cowlishaw at Optima Design, "PTC is recognised as a leader in the marketplace and we believe that by offering PTC products to our customers, we will help provide those customers with a real competitive edge in the design and development of products".
"Like PTC, we are totally committed to providing our customers with the tools and expertise to help them put product development at the core of their future business growth plans", Cowlishaw added.
