PTC will launch Pro/Desktop Express 2001 at the Solid Modelling 2002 exhibition this week in Birmingham.
The deadline for submissions is 13th March 2006.
Awards are presented in seven categories including: transportation, high tech electronics, consumer, life science, heavy equipment, education K-12, and education - college or university.
In order to be considered, each entry must include information on how PTC software products were used in the product design process.
Entries are judged on the following criteria: product innovation; product benefits and measurable metrics (ie cost savings, increase in productivity); complexity of product; and aesthetics.
An expert panel of judges will determine the finalists in each category.
The winning designs will be determined by online voting.
Winners will be announced at the PTC/User World Event in Lake Grapevine, Texas from 4th to 7th June 2006.
Winning entries in each category will be included in a downloadable screensaver.
