Satellite maker updates CADCAM software
Designer, manufacturer and integrator of satellites and satellite systems upgrades to the latest release of CADCAM and CAE software for product design and development.
Space Systems Loral, a designer, manufacturer and integrator of satellites and satellite systems, is upgrading to Pro/Engineer Wildfire v3.0, the latest release of PTC's CADCAM and CAE software for product design and development The firm has also chosen Windchill PDMlink from PTC for product development data and process management to support its strict quality standards

Building upon the foundation of Pro/Engineer for product design, the adoption of Windchill PDMLink will let Space Systems Loral improve the effectiveness of its product development processes.
As a result, the company expects to accelerate time-to-market for its satellite platforms while reducing costs for product development and promoting technological innovation.
