Quality assurance organisation certified
The Windchill Product Development and Quality Assurance organisation has met the requirements of the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 2.

Quick start for product data management
PTC has strengthened its Windchill web-based collaboration and control offering with the introduction of a new quick start solution called Windchill PDMLink.
The Level 2 rating was achieved using an independent Software Capability Evaluation (SCE), involving extensive review and analysis of PTC's software development and project management processes.
The PTC evaluation was performed by an SEI-authorised lead evaluator from Software Technology Transition (STT), a software process improvement consulting firm, using the Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement.
According to SEI documentation, the characteristics of an organisation operating at a Level 2 rating include the following.
