Laser Photonics offers fibre laser systems

A Laser Photonics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 24, 2009

Laser Photonics has introduced a tool to compare laser systems and help customers select the right laser for a specific application.

Using the cost comparison calculator on the homepage of the company's website, customers can key in location, the power of their CO2 laser and typical daily use.

The calculator will then compare this information in relation to the Laser Photonics fibre laser systems.

The company claims that its fibre laser systems need less power for cutting reflective materials such as aluminium or copper since more of the laser energy is absorbed by the substrate.

This allows for high-quality cutting at higher efficiencies than comparable laser cutting systems, added the company.

The fibre laser is also claimed to have very low power consumption.

It has zero maintenance costs, no consumables and no cleaning of or alignment of mirrors for beam path is needed.
