released
Wonderware has released new version of its InTouch human-machine interface (HMI) software along with commercial and support incentives to ease the cost and process of migration.
Wonderware has released new version of its InTouch human-machine interface (HMI) software along with commercial and support incentives to ease the cost and process of migration Version 9.5 of InTouch software includes several new features that enable an increase in both operational capabilities and engineering productivity
New operational capabilities in InTouch 9.5 software support intelligent alarm techniques, dynamic operator guidance, runtime language switching and virtually unlimited scalability to easily handle the smallest to the largest of applications.
New engineering productivity capabilities significantly decrease the cost and time associated with the creation, modification, deployment and maintenance of applications.
Users will benefit from enhancements to SmartSymbol change propagation, pan-and-zoom capabilities in development and one-click I/O back-up configuration.
As part of this product upgrade launch, Wonderware and some of its business associates also are offering technical and commercial assistance as an incentive for customers to upgrade older systems.
The InTouch 9.5 upgrade offer, in addition to standard upgrade discounts of up to 50% on InTouch 9.5 software, includes special discount pricing on Dell hardware and Microsoft operating systems from Dell; special pricing and upgrade options on Wonderware touch panel computers, bundled with InTouch 9.5 software; free Wonderware online technical support; and free web-based application migration training.
Customer applications using previous versions of InTouch software can easily migrate to this latest software.
The additional hardware, software and support incentives will help customers overcome previous hurdles to updating their systems.
InTouch 9.5 software was built using industry standards-based ArchestrA technology.
The ArchestrA architecture enables reusable, distributed application development with centralised deployment and maintenance, resulting in best-of-breed applications with lower lifecycle costs.
This provides significant advantages to customers when both the Wonderware Industrial Application Server and InTouch products are used together.
SmartSymbols integrate object-oriented technology with InTouch graphics and transform them into reusable templates.
Changes made to the templates automatically propagate throughout an application -- even across multiple networked PC nodes.
As a result, engineers spend less time creating, modifying, validating and re-validating HMI applications.
"The new operational capabilities make it easier and faster for diverse groups of users to obtain and analyse vital information from their graphical applications", said Renee Brandt, Product Marketing Manager for Wonderware's visualisation products.
"InTouch software has always been extremely easy to use".
"Yet these enhancements will make it even faster and easier for a user to create and modify applications".
"This translates into increased productivity and profitability for our customers".
Wonderware's InTouch HMI enables users to visualise and control plants and facilities, and provides engineers with an easy-to-use development environment.
Its extensive functionality enables users to rapidly create, test and deploy powerful applications that connect and deliver real-time information to anyone, anywhere.
InTouch software is an open and extensible HMI that offers flexibility in custom application design with connectivity to the broadest set of automation and information sources in the industry.
Wonderware has installed approximately 270,000 InTouch HMIs worldwide.
Wonderware products are distributed and supported throughout the UK and Ireland by Stockport-based Pantek.
