A SolutionsPT product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 12, 2006

Software lets firms improve manufacturing operations through dynamic analysis and reporting of key performance and production indicators to make decisions that improve profitability and efficiency.

Wonderware, whose products are sold and supported in the UK and Ireland by Stockport based Pantek, has released the Suite Voyager v2.6 web-based performance management software, which gives users access to real-time production and performance management information.

The software lets companies improve their manufacturing operations performance through dynamic analysis and reporting of key performance and production indicators to help make proactive decisions that improve profitability and efficiency.

The software is integrated with Archestra technology and uses Microsoft Sharepoint Services technology, which enables users to collaborate effectively with flexibility, scalability and reliability.

With this version, plant information can easily be included in existing Sharepoint web sites, facilitating access to business and plant information in one integrated view.

Version 2.6 lets users rapidly navigate through multiple performance management applications from Wonderware and third parties.

Based on their roles and responsibilities, users can access valuable information pertaining to trend analysis, event and alarm notification, downtime analysis, key performance indicator reporting, drill-down and root-cause analysis, product genealogy, traceability, and batch reporting.

As a plant information content server, Suite Voyager software empowers customers with the information they need to make faster and better-informed business decisions.

The software also provides central security and administration, improved efficiency and quick ROI.

"Suite Voyager v2.6 software makes it even easier for customers to access information and content anywhere at any time, enabling them to make intelligent plant decisions in real time", said Renee Brandt, Product Marketing Manager for Wonderware's visualisation products.

"As a visualisation tool, users can integrate content from both manufacturing and business systems, and provides valuable information which is needed to increase agility and improve production efficiency and profitability".

The software is supported on Microsoft Windows 2003 Server and uses the latest in web technology, enabling companies to view securely information from one site or enterprise-wide, without the need for additional software programming.

It is used in thousands of installations around the world and in vertical markets including food processing, oil and gas, automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, transportation and utilities.

The software is a vital component of Wonderware's production and performance management software, which offers an integrated and highly productive toolset that incorporates plant-floor, IT and business systems.

These software products leverage industry standards to facilitate collaboration between manufacturing and business systems in real time.

As a result, users can align their entire organisation to achieve overall business objectives.

Wonderware software is built on and integrated with the open and scalable Archestra architecture, which enables existing business and manufacturing systems to collaborate.
