SAP Director to deliver keynote address

Peter van Vliet, Director of Business Development for the Applications and Solutions Management group at SAP will provide a keynote address at the Pantek User Conference.
Pantek, the company that markets and supports Wonderware products in the UK and Ireland, has announced details of a further keynote address to be given at its User Conference and UK WonderWorld event being held at the Daventry Hotel, Northamptonshire on 31st October and 1st November 2006.
Peter van Vliet, Director of Business Development for the Applications and Solutions Management group at SAP will provide a keynote address entitled "Wonderware and SAP: closing the gap between the enterprise and the shop floor".
Commented John Bailey, Managing Director of Pantek: "We're very pleased to welcome Peter to our conference as we feel it's critical our customers realise Wonderware products and Pantek services are the natural choice for anyone wanting to connect plant floor machines with enterprise layer business systems".
Van Vliet will discuss the importance of "visibility of information" from one layer to another whilst at the same time recognising the differing levels of granularity acceptable, as well as practical, when switching between real time plant data and longer term enterprise information.
The conference is designed to provide manufacturing managers, information technology professionals, operations management and engineering personnel with vital information on how their companies can optimise plant and enterprise operations.
Delegates will learn how to achieve maximum efficiency and increased performance throughout the enterprise with the use of best industry practices and Wonderware's wide variety of information and automation software solutions.
The event will showcase the latest strategies and best practices for achieving operational excellence.
Specific sessions will be held for delegates to learn more about the benefits of implementing effective production and performance management solutions; strategies for applying business systems integration and supply chain collaboration tactics; and methods to achieve more successful plant operations, along with improving production line and equipment efficiencies.
