The Oracle 160 open channel flowmeter from industry specialists Pulsar Process Measurements, provides non-contacting, maintenance -free flow measurement and control for a wide range of flumes and weirs by calculating flow based on measured head.

Flow calculation is to the British Standard BS3680, where applicable.

The Oracle provides on-board totalisations of flow, clearly displayed on its eight digit totaliser; a six digit of flow or head and outputs for remote logging, alarm and control routines.

The unit is unique amongst channel flow monitors, offering previously unheard of levels of specification which include ac and dc supply compatibility, two way digital communication, a choice of programming methods and three different mounting configurations.

An analogue input allows the unit to function with other proprietary devices to provide, for instance, a velocity input enabling an 'area times velocity' (Q=VA) calculation to be accommodated.

Amongst the easily programmed flow applications are primary elements to BS3680, simple exponential (venturi, trapezoidal.etc) as well as Palmer Bowlus and H flumes.

A universal flow calculation for modified or non-standard primary elements completes the specification.
