Lightweight drum emptying pump under £100

A Pump Engineering product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 21, 2000

Pump Engineering have developed a unique, lightweight (700 grams), injection moulded pump, which is one of the most cost-effective pumps available on the market today.

Reliable and cost-effective methods of transferring liquids from drums, tanks or IBCs is an important requirement in many industries, particularly in the OEM market where pumps need to be efficient, compact and cost-effective.

To meet this need, liquids handling specialists Pump Engineering have developed a unique, lightweight (700 grams), injection moulded pump, which is one of the most cost-effective pumps available on the market today.

With a list price of under £100, the Pageboy Toppa Drum-emptying / transfer pump is a single diaphragm pneumatically operated pump manufactured in polypropylene with a PTFE diaphragm and a choice of rubber seals.

Requiring only a clean, dry, air supply, the Toppa pump is easy-to- use and is ideally suited to transfer small quantities or on a continuous basis, detergents, water- treatment chemicals, plating solutions, vegetable oils and non-aggressive chemicals compatible with the materials of construction.

The output and head depend on the liquid being pumped, but as standard the Toppa pump will deliver a flowrate of up to 7.5 litres / minute and a head up to 5 bar, although higher outputs are available.
