Bellows sealed valves handle corrosive
fluids
When handling corrosive fluids, not only is valve material compatibility a concern but also the type of stem seal
The most common valve stem seal is the PTFE chevron ring If additional sealing is required, environmental packing systems, such as the Badger Meter Rek packing using PTFE and Kalrez, are available

Globe control valve for cryogenic temperatures
An extended bonnet globe control valve which is designed to operate in applications where temperatures are in the cryogenic range (to minus 268degC), is available from Pump Engineering
For fluids that just cannot be allowed to leak, a bellows sealed valve is the best choice and in these type of valves, a bellows sealed bonnet utilises a metal bellows to seal the process fluid from the valve stem.
This allows the valve stem to move while maintaining a positive seal.
Bellows sealed valves are used in applications where the fluid is toxic, corrosive or expensive.
Badger Meter, represented in the UK by Pump Engineering offers a complete line of metal control valves in sizes from 0.25 up to 2in with materials of construction including stainless steel, Hastelloy, Monel, Inconel, Alloy 20, titanium, tantalum and other exotic materials for corrosive applications.
These valves feature replaceable trim sets in the same material as the valve, or if required alternative materials such as Stellite or soft seats and special coatings such as titanium nitride.
Stem packing options include standard chevron rings or the REK environmental packing system, with purge ports for leak prevention or detection and reversed rings for vacuum applications.
Bellows sealed valves are available in 0.25 through to 2in line sizes and for pressures up to 100bar, in materials including 316 SS, Alloy 400, C-276 and Ni Alloy 625.
From vacuum to 410 bar and temperatures from -450 to 1500F, Badger Meter control valves provide the answer to critical process control valve challenges across a wide range of industries.
