Sensors prevent water damage in engines

A PVL product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 7, 2008

The Riko water/fuel sensor detects water in petrol or diesel, warning that the filter or agglomerator needs draining.

Riko sensors from PVL prevent costly engine or gearbox damage in vehicles, standby generators or mechanical handling applications , anywhere there's an engine and/or gearbox.

The Riko water/fuel sensor detects water in petrol or diesel, warning that the filter or agglomerator needs draining.

Using a precision float that sinks in fuels but floats on water, the sensor triggers the warning light when water gathers at the bottom of the fuel filter and causes the float, normally at the bottom of the filter, to rise.

The Riko oil level sensor warns when engine or gearbox oil is low, even in high-temperature environments.
