PVL releases all-plastic level and flow switches

A PVL product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 14, 2009

Pressure Vacuum Level (PVL) has launched the Kelco range of all-plastic level and flow switches.

Manufactured in either PVC or ABS plastic and designed for controlling the level or flow of corrosive acids, alkaline fluids, seawater or wherever a chemically inert switch is essential, the range includes inline flow switches, paddle flow switches and level switches suitable for various pipe sizes and flow rates.

These products, which are manufactured in Australia, are currently being used globally in the chemical and water treatment industries.

The Kelco range includes a compact inline flow switch, designed to detect low flows for chemical metering or dosing applications; a specialised pump flow switch that has an integral time delay to allow the pump to start despite an initial lack of flow; a run-on timer that allows the pump to ignore minor flow interruptions while still protecting the pump from running dry; two side-entry level switches; and an external modular switch system.

Most models also have an external override toggle to test the switch operation before commissioning.
