Neeter Drive has extended the PowerGear range of bevel gearboxes with the introduction of a new size in two designs.

The new size 54 gearbox is designed to offer the same high torque characteristics of the other PowerGear units but in a smaller size.

The main body of the unit is only 54mm cubed with 11mm diameter drive shafts, but still capable of providing up to 17Nm of output torque at up to 8000rev/min.

The two designs available are the standard P54 and the reinforced shaft X54.

The X54 variant is designed for applications requiring a 1:1 ratio unit capable of handling greater torque than the standard P54 unit using the same gearbox case.

The P54 in contrast is available in four gear ratios up to 3:1 as standard.

The units' design gives the following advantages.

The compact and rigid design assures highest performance in a small footprint.

Lubricated for life, the gearboxes are, depending on their size, maintenance free, if operated under normal conditions.

Fretting-free torque transfer using a friction locked fit between shaft and bevel gear.

Typical applications for the PowerGear are angular torque transfer and torque distribution in single, or multiple shaft configurations.

In nonstationary applications where weight is extremely important, the PowerGear design is the ideal solution.
