Two ranges, the CHM and CHB, have recently been released following an extensive three-year research, development and testing programme, coupled with a significant investment in up to date CNC machines and tooling, all combine to ensure a high degree of reliability and performance.
The CHM gearbox is of a square universal design and offers considerable flexibility in mounting.
The mounting dimensions, input flanges, output flanges and bore sizes provide a cost effective alternative to similar designs with no modifications to drawings or machine components.
Models 025, 030, 040, 050, 063, 075 and 090 are manufactured with aluminium cast housings, whereas the 110 and 130 sizes are made from cast iron.
The CHB gearbox is of a round body design with bolt on side covers with feet for mounting.
The motor mounting flange is supplied as a separate casting from the housing which incorporates the oil seal.
In this way any risk of damaging the oil seal in case of the input flange and the O-ring is avoided.
All side covers are sealed with O-rings instead of traditional flat gaskets.
For 03, 04 and 05 sizes this allows rotation of the feet with disassembly of the gearbox.
The worm screw has a ZI profile which both improves performance and results in a reduced running temperature.
Both the CMH and the CHB ranges are painted in RAL9022 aluminium colour epoxy powder to give protection in hostile environments.
The prestage helical gear sets are common to both providing gear ratios of up to 300:1.
Larger ratios are possible using combined worm gearbox arrangements.
Gearboxes can be supplied with both three-phase and single-phase IEC B5/B14 standard motors, permanent magnet low voltage DC motors or wound field DC motors.
