A new family of 4-20mA activated solid-state contactors accept the industry-standard 4-20mA signal and convert it into a high-speed, time-proportional output.

Power-IO has a new family of 4-20mA activated solid-state contactors.

For use with PLCs, PCs or Scada systems, these power switching products accept the industry-standard 4-20mA signal and convert it into a high-speed, time-proportional output that is ideal for use with resistive heaters, heat sealing bars, or closed-loop PLC temperature control zones.

With a high speed cycling capability of twice a second and a setpoint resolution of 8.3ms, these contactors offer accurate performance while dramatically increasing the life of the heater by reducing thermal stress and fatigue.

The contactors include finger-safe caged terminals, an integral heatsink optimised for high-density applications, and a universal mounting bracket for either DIN rail or bolt-on installations.

There are no time consuming setup requirements - the installer just attaches the wires.

The contactors are available as single-phase models of up to 25 or 40A and three-phase units with up to 25 or 35A per leg.
