ExpaTen bolts transfer high torque and can be easily disassembled and re-used, even after being subjected to high levels of stress.

Project Sales is set to introduce ExpaTen bolts to Indian customers at Inmex India, the International Exhibition on Shipbuilding in Mumbai, to be held between 3rd-5th October, 2007.

Schaaf is purchasing ExpaTen bolts in order to revolutionise the detachable flange connections of propulsion shafts in the shipbuilding industry.

The bolts transfer high torque and can be easily disassembled and re-used, even after being subjected to high levels of stress.

The system is made of heat treated steel.

Schaaf is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO9001:2000 Expansion and pretensioning result in a high-torque transmission, completely free from backlash, as well as 100% positive locking and frictional connection.

The system also offers a torsionally and flexurally rigid connection even with sudden changes in the rotational speed, the torque, or direction of rotation.

The reduction of flange dimensions is possible due to a smaller number of bolts for torque transmission.

Maximum torque transmission is provided in the minimum space.

Schaaf ExpaTen Bolts are suitable wherever high forces must be transmitted and, at the same time, easy removal must be ensured.
