Vibrometer to improve resolution
Nanopositioning specialist PI has invested $0.25 million in a new laser scanning vibrometer.
Nanopositioning specialist PI has invested $0.25 million in a new laser scanning vibrometer The instrument will be primarily used to help PI's North American customer base improve their products and processes (such as scanning microscopy, alignment applications, nano-imprint technology) by increasing scanning rates and throughput, reducing step and settle times
The unique laser based metrology tool, manufactured by Polytec can identify structural weaknesses in mechanical designs (eg scanners, mounts, fixturing) and detect vibration at the nanometer level.
The results help engineers to improve structural designs, avoid resonances and build faster, more precise nanopositioning tools. Request free introductory details about products from PI (Physik Instrumente) ...
