Physik Instrumente (PI) has received a US patent for its Picma multilayer piezo-ceramic actuators.
The Picma actuators are based on stress reduction and encapsulation technologies, which increase lifetime in static and dynamic applications, addressing lifetime mechanisms common to other piezoelectric actuators.
