Options expand for water purification
Mark Bosley, Development Manager for Purite, considers the options for purified water.
Purification systems gain 24/7 support
Purite has launched a new range of 24/7 service and maintenance packages, giving customers a highly flexible approach to preventive and responsive cover.
Larger units are available that are specially built to order for applications which require even greater quantities of purified water.
With a maximum pure water recovery capability of 75% and minimum salt rejection of 97% across the entire range, the new RO systems are ideally suited to a wide variety of water purification requirements.
For example, the new ElitePlus can be used for the provision of purified water for the manufacture of products ranging from electronic devices to food and drinks; for component or vehicle cleaning, prior to plating or painting; as well as a variety of general process and industrial applications including boiler feed.
Each system within the ElitePlus range is constructed from a robust, stainless steel base frame, with a tough plastic front panel housing for controls and instruments.
Depending on the application, the ElitePlus can be supplied with either a specially designed polypropylene or stainless steel inlet filter.
Every system within the range incorporates the latest Puritron microprocessor technology for fully automated monitoring and control.
In particular, the Puritron 500 microprocessor features two-digit alphanumeric displays for permeate conductivity, forced stop and full tank indication.
The control system also incorporates alarm signals for low pressure, hard water and high conductivity as well as LED's for operation and disinfection.
For higher volume systems, such as the ElitePlus 16500ND, Puritron 2000 microprocessor technology is utilised, offering the same benefits as the Puritron 500 but with additional functionality.
The ElitePlus range is supplied with all necessary valves and instruments.
A choice of options is also available, depending on requirements; these include heat sanitisable membranes, stainless-steel pipework and integrated softeners.
In addition, Purite can provide all necessary pretreatment, distribution pipework, installation and project management support as required.
