Cestigreen AST is a new high-performance material designed especially for dewatering elements used by paper mills to dehydrate products during the production cycle.

Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products has introduced Cestigreen AST, a new high-performance material designed especially for dewatering elements used by paper mills to dehydrate products during the production cycle.

Cestigreen AST's exceptional resistance to abrasion and friction wear is three times higher than conventional PE materials, as demonstrated both by laboratory tests and production trials in paper mills.

The material's low friction also translates into reduced power consumption for paper manufacturing equipment.

The low abrasion performance of Quadrant EPP's new material also makes it a complimentary solution for use with plastic fabrics, where its low weight and easy handling present minimum risk to the forming fabric.

The excellent structural strength and durability of Cestigreen AST allows it to withstand high stress and impact without cracking.

Combined with high abrasion resistance, these performance properties make the material highly compatible with CNC machining, which can help achieve aspect ratios up to 65% with some hole and slot patterns.

Cestigreen AST resin's high strength also enables development of longer lasting elements that are simple to install and service, and that deliver long-lasting performance.

Typical applications include forming boards, foils, vacufoils and suction-box covers.

Lastly, Cestigreen AST offers a negligible absorption rate, and strong resistance to acids and alkalis.

These qualities enable the material to deliver long-term performance despite frequent exposure to aggressive cleaning agents, such as sulphuric acid, caustic soda and biocides.
